Advanced Aesthetics is our category of corrective skin care treatments — chemical peels, microneedling, and laser and energy treatments — designed to address concerns like fine lines, texture, pigmentation, and acne scars with visible, long-term results. Every treatment on the Advanced Aesthetics menu can be performed by either an Advanced Aesthetician or a Medical Provider, so you can choose the provider that best fits your goals, schedule, or budget. Think of it as the step beyond your regular facial, built for guests who want measurable, longer-term change.

Three treatment types, each available with an Advanced Aesthetician or a Medical Provider:

• Chemical peels — medical-grade VI Peels that exfoliate the skin and stimulate cellular renewal
• Microneedling — SkinPen microneedling, which uses controlled micro-injuries to trigger your skin's own healing response and boost collagen and elastin
• Laser and energy — BBL and Moxi, which use light and gentle fractional laser technology to stimulate collagen and skin renewal

Both Advanced Aestheticians and Medical Providers. Advanced Aestheticians are licensed estheticians who've completed additional education and hands-on training in corrective, results-driven skin care. Medical Providers are licensed medical professionals — registered nurses, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants — with advanced training in aesthetic medicine, who also perform injectables and other medically directed treatments outside this category.

 Which provider performs your treatment comes down to your preference, schedule, and budget, not which treatments are available to you.

Because it's genuinely offered by both provider types. Microneedling, for example, shows up once with an Advanced Aesthetician and once with a Medical Provider — same treatment, two different price points that reflect each provider's credentials, not a "better" version and a lesser one. Choose whichever option fits your goals, schedule, or budget.

Both are highly trained professionals who perform Advanced Aesthetics treatments with the same commitment to safety and results — the difference is credentials, not the treatment itself.

• Advanced Aesthetician — a licensed esthetician with additional education and hands-on training in corrective aesthetic treatments.
• Medical Provider — a licensed medical professional (registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant) with advanced training in aesthetic medicine, who can also perform injectables, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and gold infusion outside Advanced Aesthetics.

Pricing reflects that difference in scope — Advanced Aesthetician visits are priced lower than the same treatment performed by a Medical Provider. If you're only interested in Advanced Aesthetics treatments, either provider works well; if you're also curious about injectables or a more comprehensive rejuvenation plan, a Medical Provider can advise on that too. No. Advanced Aesthetics doesn't include injectables — you won't find Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, dermal filler, Sculptra, Skinvive, PRF, or Gold Infusion here. Those treatments live under medSPA injectables and are performed exclusively by a Medical Provider.

Both are professional-strength chemical peels, but they're different systems with different depths and downtime. A VI Peel is our medical-grade Advanced Aesthetics peel — it exfoliates deeply and stimulates cellular renewal, with visible peeling that typically begins around 48 hours after treatment and lasts 5–7 days. A PCA Skin peel, offered separately on our facial menu, is generally a lighter peel with less downtime. Your provider can help you decide which depth is right for your skin and goals.

Both are laser and energy treatments, but they work differently and target different concerns.

• Moxi — a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser that creates controlled microchannels to stimulate skin renewal. A good fit for sun damage, melasma, early signs of aging, and uneven tone and texture.
• BBL — a photofacial that uses multiple wavelengths of light to stimulate collagen and skin renewal. A good fit for acne, sun damage, brown spots, redness, and visible vessels.

Many guests build a treatment plan around both. Your provider will recommend the right combination for your skin.

Most Advanced Aesthetics treatments — VI Peels, BBL, Moxi, and microneedling — are recommended as a series of three, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by ongoing maintenance. Your provider will personalize this plan to your skin and goals at your first visit.

It depends on the treatment:

• VI Peel — peeling typically begins 48 hours after treatment and lasts 5–7 days
• BBL — around 3–5 days of visible downtime
• Moxi — around 7–10 days
• Microneedling — around 7–10 days

We recommend planning around your treatment date, especially ahead of an event. Your provider will walk you through aftercare and timing at your visit.

Each treatment is suited to slightly different concerns, so your provider will help you land on the right one, or the right combination, for your skin.

• VI Peel — a good fit if you're dealing with acne, acne scars, discoloration, melasma, fine lines, or uneven texture. The peel exfoliates deeply to reveal smoother, more even skin underneath.
• BBL — best for acne, sun damage, brown spots, redness, and visible vessels. It uses light to target pigment and vessels directly, without disrupting the skin around them.
• Moxi — suited to sun damage, melasma, early signs of aging, uneven tone and texture, and dull skin. It's a gentler laser, so it's often a good starting point if you're newer to laser treatments.
• Microneedling — geared toward acne scars, fine lines, enlarged pores, and uneven texture. It works by triggering your skin's own collagen and elastin production.

If more than one of these sounds like you, that's common — many guests build a treatment plan combining two or more, based on what your provider sees during your consultation.

Think of it as one layer in a bigger system. Daily skin care maintains your skin's surface and barrier. Facials build on that with professional exfoliation, hydration, and targeted ingredients. Advanced Aesthetics goes further, working beneath everyday maintenance to stimulate skin renewal and collagen and address more persistent concerns. The three work together, not in place of one another.

Yes. A consultation is required before your first Advanced Aesthetics treatment — your provider needs to assess your skin and goals before starting any service in this category. It's how we make sure you're matched with the right treatment and the right provider from the start.
