VI Peel, Microneedling and Lasers: Finding the Right Treatment for Your Skin
milk + honeyShare
Four treatments, four different approaches to clearer, smoother, more even skin. Understanding how each one works can help you find the right place to start.
different paths, different possibilities
A peel works at the surface. Microneedling supports renewal from within. Lasers use light, and even the two we use work in distinctly different ways.
The right choice comes down to your skin, your goals, and what you're hoping to change.
how each one works
VI Peel
A peel works from the top down, using acid blends to exfoliate the outer layers of skin and encourage cellular renewal. As those layers shed, concerns like discoloration and uneven texture can begin to improve.
Microneedling
Microneedling works from within. Fine needles create controlled microchannels that activate the skin's natural repair response and support new collagen and elastin.
Lasers
Lasers use targeted light energy to support renewal within the skin. What that energy targets depends on the device, which is why BBL and Moxi are used to address different concerns.
Different approaches to skin renewal, each working in its own way.
our two lasers, and why they differ
Both sit under lasers on our menu, but they aren't interchangeable.
BBL
BBL, or BroadBand Light, is a photofacial that uses multiple wavelengths of light to target pigmentation and redness in the skin. It's designed to address concerns like acne, sun damage, brown spots, redness, visible vessels, and uneven tone.
Moxi
Moxi is a gentle, non-ablative fractional laser that creates controlled microchannels to prompt renewal while leaving surrounding skin intact. It can address sun damage, melasma, signs of aging, uneven tone and texture, and dullness.
BBL is more targeted toward pigmentation and redness, while Moxi focuses more broadly on texture and overall skin quality.
Skin tone can also help determine which treatment is appropriate. BBL is suited to lighter skin tones, while Moxi is safe for all skin types and tones.
The Fitzpatrick scale describes how skin responds to sun exposure, from type I to type VI. It is one of the tools used to determine appropriate laser settings.
Your advanced aesthetician will confirm what's appropriate for your skin.

what changes
The result: clearer, smoother, brighter skin.
More even-looking skin and visible improvements that continue to build over time.
Some changes may show up sooner than others, while concerns like texture and scarring can take a series of treatments and time to improve.
You still look like yourself. Your skin simply looks more like the version you've been working toward.
results build over time
Many advanced aesthetics treatments are recommended as a series of three, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, to build toward your best results. From there, one to two treatments per year may be recommended to help maintain them.
Your exact treatment plan will depend on the service, your skin, and your goals. Your advanced aesthetician can recommend the timing that makes sense for you.
can you combine them?
Often, yes. Because each treatment works differently, your advanced aesthetician may recommend incorporating more than one into your plan over time.
The right sequence and timing depend on your skin, your goals, and how your skin responds along the way.
We also offer BBL and Moxi together, so a single visit can address pigmentation and overall skin quality at once. Your advanced aesthetician can tell you whether that pairing suits your skin.
what helps protect your results
Daily sunscreen helps protect treated skin and the results you're building.
The right home care can help support your skin between appointments. Your advanced aesthetician can recommend products based on your skin and treatment plan.
Your routine may need to shift before and after treatment. Follow your aesthetician's guidance on which products to pause and when to return to your regular routine.
ready to find your treatment?
You don't have to choose on your own. An advanced aesthetician can look at your skin, talk through your goals, and recommend the treatment or combination of treatments that makes the most sense for you.
