Information we collect automatically
When you browse our Website, we may collect information automatically through cookies and other technologies (web beacons, pixel tags) to help enhance our ability to serve you. For example, we use these technologies to help us to better understand user behavior including for security and fraud prevention purposes, tell us which parts of our Website people have visited, and to personalize your experience on the Website. The ways in which we collect information through technology are described below:
Cookies: Cookies are small files that our Website or our service providers transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser that enables the Website or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. If you are browsing our Site, we may also use cookies or similar mechanisms to help us measure the number of visits, time spent, pages viewed and other statistics about traffic to our Website.
When you first visit our Website, you will have the option to select whether to accept or reject different types of cookies, with the exception of those cookies that are strictly necessary for a particular service (for example, to allow you to log into an account on the Website). If you prefer, you can also choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of the features on our Website may not function properly. In addition, your choices regarding the use of Cookies may not apply to other websites or when you use a different device. You can find more information about cookies and other technologies used on our Website, including how to manage or delete cookies, by visiting our Cookies Policy.
Analytics Providers: We use third parties, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how individuals access and use the Website, and to help us understand market trends and the popularity of our services. As part of this process, we may incorporate analytics and tracking technologies from these third parties into our own website, and some of our communications such as e-mails. You can learn more about how Google uses this information here.
Web Beacons: We include small graphic images or other web programming code, called web beacons (also known as “pixel tags”, “web bugs”, or “clear GIFs”), on the Site. The web beacons are minute graphics with a unique identifier. They are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored in a user's computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Rejecting cookies using browser settings may not stop web beacons from tracking you.
Social Media Plugins: Our Website may use third-party social media plugins, such as buttons other similar mechanisms from social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly, Twitter). We may collect the username associated with that your account and any information or content you have permitted the social media platform to share with us, such as your profile picture, and contact information. The information we collect may depend on whether you have an account with a social media platform, and the privacy settings you have with that account, so please review the privacy statement or policy of the applicable social media platform. When you access our website or interact with us through your social media account, you are authorizing us to collect and use your information in accordance with this Policy.
Do Not Track Setting: In some circumstances, we may track your online activities over time and across websites or online services, and may allow service providers to collect the same types of information for the same purposes as we collect your information. Your web browser may have settings that allows you to transmit a “Do Not Track” signal when you visit various websites or use online services. Like many websites, our Website is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from browsers. However, milk + honey honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser. You can learn more about GPC signals here. If you choose to use the GPC signal, you will need to download and turn it on for each supported browser or browser extension you use.

Sales and Targeted Advertising
We do not “sell” your personal information as most people would understand that term, meaning that we do not disclose your personal information to any third party in exchange for a monetary payment. Like many online businesses however, we may allow third parties to receive information about you via cookies and other tracking technologies for purposes of analyzing and optimizing our services, to personalize your online experience by providing advertisements that are more relevant to you, and for statistical research and analytics. In addition, in lieu of a right to access, you have the right to submit a verifiable request to know specific pieces of your personal information obtained from or about you.
- Request Correction: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we have collected from or about you, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of processing the personal information.

Notice of Right To Opt-Out of Sale/Targeted Advertising
To opt out of the sale of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising (“sharing”), you may modify your cookies settings or use an opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We process these opt-out preference signals in a frictionless manner. This means that if you enable the GPC, we will automatically be notified that you have opted out of sale of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising, and we will automatically process the opt-out preference signal to opt you out of the sale of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising.
To enable the GPC:

If you have enabled the GPC, milk + honey will not be able to track your activity through the web. This may affect our ability to personalize ads according to your preferences. However, if you visit our Website from a different device or from a different browser on the same device, you will need to opt-out of sale/targeted advertising using an opt-out preference signal for that browser or device, or using the contact methods listed above.
How We Will Verify Your Request: If you submit a request, we match personal information that you provide us against personal information we maintain in our files. The more risk entailed by the request (e.g., a request for specific pieces of personal information), the more items of personal information we may request to verify your identity. If we cannot verify your identity to a sufficient level of certainty to respond securely to your request, we will let you know promptly and explain why we cannot verify your identity.
Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights. If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, the authorized agent must submit with the request another document signed by you that authorizes the authorized agent to submit the request on your behalf. In addition, we may ask you or your authorized agent to follow the applicable process described above for verifying your identity. You can obtain the “Authorized Agent Designation” form by contacting us at privacy@milkandhoney.com. Alternatively, you can provide a power of attorney compliant with the California Probate Code.

You may withdraw from participating in a Program at any time by contacting us using the designated method set forth in the applicable Program terms. Please note that if you withdraw from a Program (or you submit a request to delete your Program data), your participation in that Program will be terminated, which means, generally, that you will no longer be eligible to earn, use, access or redeem any Program Rewards and Offers, subject to the applicable Program terms. This does not apply with respect to deleting optional profile information, but it does apply with respect to deleting identifying information or information about your participation in the Program, e.g., number of qualifying purchases.
