Enjoy it iced. Perfect for beating the heat, hibiscus supports your circulatory system, offering a natural cooling effect.
We highly recommend a cold brew method! Especially since hibiscus is a low-temp bb. You can brew in the fridge if you want it extra chilled, and room temp works just fine, too.
Sip it hot. When it comes to brewing the perfect cup, be mindful with this tea and don’t boil it! The term “delicate flower” has roots in something real — hibiscus doesn’t want to be over-steeped or overheated
organic hibiscus, organic lemongrass, organic tulsi.
Consumed three times a day, Hibiscus is clinically-proven to lower blood pressure. This ingredient can also help even sugar and lipid levels in folks with metabolic disorders like diabetes II. Plus, it's packed with antioxidants like Vitamin C, which fight free radicals, boost immunity, and protect brain function.
Lemongrass is clinically proven to help even blood sugar and cholesterol, and studies show that it can help fight candida imbalance. It's powerfully anti-inflammatory, too, which helps with sleep, chronic pain, and digestion.
Tulsi, an adaptogenic herb, protects your body from pollutants and is packed with anti-inflammatory properties and heaps of antioxidants.
Is Blushing more floral or fruity?
It leans floral with soft, slightly fruity undertones depending on brew strength.
Is this tea calming or energizing?
It is generally considered a calming, gentle blend rather than stimulating.
Is this a good introduction tea for someone new to herbal blends?
Yes, it is approachable and not overly bitter or medicinal in taste.
What's in the tea?
Big Heart Tea Co. uses 100% organic herbs in all herbal blends. Our matcha, black, green, and oolong teas are sourced directly from small farms, only using whole ingredients. No flavors, coloring, or sweeteners added.
What are the tea bags made from?
The tea sachets are made from 100% compostable, non toxic PLA. No harmful chemicals leech into your tea.
What’s the expiration date for the teas?
Non-perishable. We recommend up to a 2 year shelf life for best flavor and freshness.
Do Big Heart Tea Co. tea bags release microplastics into my tea?
No. A 2021 study published on PubMed analyzed different types of tea bags, including nylon, mixed paper with polypropylene, and biodegradable PLA based bags. The study found that nylon and polypropylene based tea bags released significant microplastics into the tea, while the PLA based biodegradable tea bag showed no detectable plastic residue in the brewed tea
Can I compost these tea bags?
Yes. The PLA tea bags are compostable in industrial composting facilities where heat and humidity help them break down into CO₂, water, and biomass. If you do not have access to industrial composting, place them in your compost bin and allow additional time for decomposition.
