Why a HydraFacial?
A HydraFacial is a unique service that combines a traditional facial, peel, and microdermabrasion into a quick and painless treatment. In published studies, this treatment performed better than IPL, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. This multi-step service is excellent at treating fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, oily and congested skin, evening skin tone, improving vibrancies and much more. Just like many of our other facial treatments, the HydraFacial is completely customizable.
The HydraFacial treatment utilizes the innovative Edge wand to remove skin imperfections while providing skin-rejuvenating nutrients into the skin. The wand comes with three unique spirals tips which are designed cleanse the skin deeper than traditional instruments. These tips help to soften dead skills and sebum, making it easy to suction; have multiple abrasive edges which allow for deeper penetration into oily or congested skin; and allows the serums to say on longer, boosting performance and absorption time.
Before Jen's HydraFacial
Four steps to clear skin
The Edge wand begins by gently exfoliating and cleansing the skin's top layer. Dead skin cells and excess sebum, both of which are major factors in causing acne, are lifted from the skin during this process. By removing the impurities on the skin's epidermis, this allows light to reflect better and gives your skin that youthful, healthy glow. Next, the acid peel, formulated with a nonirritating mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, loosen dirt and debris trapped within your pores easily. The third step uses Vortex-Extraction's vacuum technology to remove blackheads and other skin contestants. This painlessly cleans out your pores and won't cause blotchiness or irritation like traditional extractions. Lastly, the Vortex-Boost detoxifies and rejuvenates the skin by infusing it with a blend of antioxidant, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. Antioxidants work to defend and repair against damaging free radicals. Peptides, links from amino acids, boost collagen and elastin production, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid, which is naturally produced in the body, helps give skin its volume and fullness. A lack of hyaluronic acid causes the skin to weigh down and appear saggy, but by delivering this ingredient deep into the skin it helps hydrate and plump skin cells.
FYI: During this treatment, Jen received two types of light therapy, Red and Blue LED.
Red LED therapy reduces inflammation, irritation, redness, and increases elastin and collagen production — giving you a youthful appearance.

Blue LED targets and eliminates acne-causing bacteria on the top layer of skin.
