To sum up our feelings about Kerry Washington's look, we'll borrow from her Scandal persona, Olivia Pope: she handled it. Not only was her Marc Jacobs dress (literally days old/fresh from the Spring 2016 runways) a work of shimmering, sparkling, spotlight-stealing art, but her complete opposite approach to hair and makeup was a welcomed and refreshing contrast. Her messy, low bun, glowing skin, and berry-stained lips didn't take the focus away from her striking outfit, but it did highlight her gorgeous natural beauty to a T.
Thanks to stints in meat ensembles and pod arrivals, Lady Gaga isn't necessarily the first person that comes to mind when the words, "Hollywood glamour," are uttered. But at this year's Emmys, she continues to surprise.
